Saskatoon 'Smokey' Size:3L pot red stems bearing open paniclesSmokey is one of the most popular saskatoon cultivars for producing an impressive crop of flavoursome juicy berries ready to harvest from early summer. Also known as serviceberries or juneberries, the fruits have a wonderful flavour and can be eaten fresh or added to smoothies, preserves, and desserts. Thats not all this garden shrub has to offer. In spring, it is covered with masses of small, white, star shaped flowers before the berries ripen.
