Drouhin Laroze, Clos Vougeot Vintage:2011 This is very impressive but(from a superbly situated 1 ha parcel high on the hill). Firm reduction overshadows the fruit at present. More positively, there is excellent energy and density to the powerful and muscular broad shouldered flavors that possess a healthy level of the same on the austere, rustic and bitter cherry inflected finish that is a bit clipped. Like the Bonnes Mares, this is somewhat awkward and while it may harmonize, Im less certain that this will come
