black raspberries and black currants plus a hint of iron ore

the 2016 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Vigna del Sorbo is magnificent

Here too there are hints of menthol and wood framing the ripe and fresh dark berry fruit liqueur-like nose where additional nuances of spice and rose petal are present

violet and soft earth wisps

Smoky nuances suffuse the ripe and vaguely exotic aromas of white peach

Pierre Damoy, Chambolle Musigny Vintage:2020 black raspberries and black currants(from Les Drazey). Ripe and layered aromas include those of red and black cherry, spice and discreet wood nuance. There is outstanding concentration to the relatively powerful and almost painfully intense big bodied flavors that flex evident muscularity on the impressively long and very firm finale. Once again, this isnt typical, and particularly so compared to a classic Chambolle, but it is a potentially very interesting wine.
