Description
A fruity and very pinot nose that manages to be quite pretty despite the pronounced earthiness that continues onto the round and delicious flavors that are presently firm but I suspect that this will come around quickly
candied flowers and Asian spices
with mostly consistent results though some bottles do seem more advanced than others
This should drink well young but also should be capable of rewarding 4 to 6 years of bottle age
with polished tannins and a crisp
Benjamin Leroux, Savigny Beaune Rouge other_regions_australia A fruity and very pinot(mostly from Les Fourneaux with declassified 1er Hauts Jarrons as well). There is enough reduction to suppress the underlying fruit though there is very good density to the subtle mineral inflected flavors that deliver excellent length for a villages level wine on the balanced if mildly rustic finish. Very good quality here and the influence of the 1er is evident. Note that I would suggest decanting this if youre going to open a bottle young. 89 2022+
