Bunny Basket Made by Eritrean refugees thus there are variations inCrafted by women who recently returned to Burundi after living for years as refugees in Tanzania This Bunny Basket is woven out of local grass and recycled grain sacks. While living in camps in Tanzania, refugees received food supplies in grain sacks. In that setting, these resourceful artisans started unravelling the empty sacks and using the threads to weave baskets, a practice they continue to date. Made in partnership with Womencraft.
