Description
It had been the practice of some women to present white feathers to apparently able-bodied young men who were not wearing the King's uniform
nurses and others employed in military hospitals who actually served in France or Belgium between the 5th August 1914 and midnight of 22-23rd November 1914
In the Merchant Navy the requirement was that the 28 days should have been served at sea
