Raspberries and cherries of incredible purity add hints of chocolate on the long finish but never seem heavy or warm

pure and ever-so-mildly tangy finale where a hint of wood appears

(a monopole of the Domaine with 35+ year old vines and much rockier soil than Columbière - 100% new wood)

comparing it to the 2017 it does not quite have the same tension and mineralité

Blends richness and finesse with a deft hand and finishes incredibly long and precise

At this stage it's a kind of engine of blossom, hurling spring fresh fruit tree petals out in every direction. On the palate it's hyper expressive and articulate; blossomy for now, but with plenty of marrow packing its bones, too. Look out for this exceptionally promising wine in a year or two. Barrel sample.
