The Burma Star was awarded to British and Commonwealth forces who served in the Burma campaign between 11 December 1941 and 2 September 1945

Queens Gallantry Medal Miniature Naval General Service The British Empire full sizeInstituted on 20th June 1974 to reward acts of exemplary bravery. Although intended as primarily a civilian award it is more often awarded to Military personnel for actions where military decorations would not be appropriate. Awards of the gallantry emblem to the Order of the British Empire were ceased at this time with the intention that such acts would be rewarded with the QGM. To date just over 1000 awards have been made together with 18 bars.
