Description
The deepest and most powerful Kutch Pinot
but thanks to high acidity 22 grams of residual sugar only subtly make their presence known
spice and a dollop of wood
Malleolus de Sanchomartin is sourced from a vineyard planted in 1964 with cuttings grafted from the Valderramiro vineyard
dark cherry and an array of floral elements
Philippe Charlopin-Parizot, Bonnes Mares Vintage:2018 The deepest and most powerful(from terres blanches or the white soil portion of the vineyard). Much more subtle but not invisible wood can be found on the cooler and more layered aromas of red berries, warm earth and pretty floral whiffs. There is a lovely sense of underlying tension to the stony and muscular large bodied flavors that conclude in a youthfully austere and robust finale that flirts with rusticity. Good potential here but patience definitely advised.
