STrax Operating Uncoupler Track sections are used to trigger the operating couplers on freight and passenger cars. The induction coil is energized when the Activation Button is pressed creating a magnetic field that pulls down on the operating coupler armature which in turn opens the coupler. The uncoupler track can be used on any S gauge freight or passenger car equipped with operating couplers.
