This impressive building was designed by Christopher Wren and was once the home of the Duchess of Marlborough, a friend and confidant of Queen Anne. The original wallpaper features a dark blue pattern on a pale blue background and looks very modern, although the general design has its origins in the Victorian era (as wallpaper) and before (as silk fabric). A special
