Acrylic mops are used for collecting dust and similar particles, but NOT ingrained dirt. The ultrafine acrylic becomes anti static when moved and binds dust to itself. Cotton mops work like acrylic but can also be moistened to remove ingrained dirt. They can also collect water and snow when dry.
